Vacancy Description
Achieving for Children is an award-winning social enterprise created by Kingston and Richmond Councils in 2014, expanding into the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in 2017. We are responsible for delivering the entirety of children’s services in all three local authorities.
Achieving for Children has been up and running for four years, and in that time we have established a reputation as one of the leading children’s services providers in the country. We are one of the Department for Education’s eight ‘Partners in Practice’, tasked with leading improvement across the sector.
A passion for improving the lives of children, young people and families. That’s what drives you. We know, because it drives us too. It drives us to develop new, imaginative and innovative ways of working. To create a collaborative and supportive environment within which everyone can achieve outstanding results. We are a small local authority and work closely together across agencies to make a difference to the lives of the children that we work with.
To be a Social Worker for Achieving for Children you will need to be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and improving their long term outcomes.
You will need to be able to adhere to timescales, ensuring that there is no delay in services being implemented when needed.
You will need to be able to work in a fast paced service, both as a team player and independently.
In return, we will offer you high quality support and development opportunities.
If you would like to find out more about this exciting role, please contact Isabel Prinsloo on 07894237450 for an informal discussion.
If you have proven experience of safeguarding children and/or young people, hold a professional qualification (DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent) and be registered with the HCPC, then join us now in changing lives – for good.
We want you to stay with us for the long term, which is why we offer comprehensive training and development packages tailored to you and your aspirations. You can also look forward to living and working in this outstanding area of England, great transport links, plus flexible benefits including generous holiday entitlement, contributory salary pension scheme.
