Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead

Vacancy Description

The Royal Borough has recently undertaken a very successful recruitment campaign, however we have an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Planner to join one of our Development Management Teams, dealing primarily with minor and major applications.

Windsor and Maidenhead is an economically resilient and growing Borough. Located within easy access of Central London it is an attractive place for business growth and investment. The two main towns have different planning pressures; there is the culture and heritage of Windsor and the regeneration of Maidenhead. There are also smaller towns and villages, many located in the green belt, where the pressure of development is of concern to local people.

This is a good place to live and work. There are excellent transport connections to London and the West of England, with the new Elizabeth Line opening in Maidenhead in 2019.

We are a busy service dealing with over 3,500 planning decisions a year. You would be dealing with a range of planning cases and will gain great experience in this role.

Previous applicants need not apply.

If you wish to discuss this position informally please contact either Tony Franklin, Development Management Team Manager on 01628 796155 or Ashley Smith, Deputy Head of Planning, on 01628 796954
