Vacancy Description
There has never been a better time to join Achieving for Children (AFC). We are full of opportunities for development and improvement. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed educational psychologists who have the passion and the drive to make a positive difference to children and young people’s lives. If you are a qualified educational psychologist or if you are in your final year of doctorate educational psychology training on track for HCPC registration in September 2021, please get in touch! We will pay your HCPC registration fee!
We are looking to appoint a skilful and creative educational psychologist to our highly valued service of psychologists (including trainees and assistant psychologists), working within the Psychology and Wellbeing Services which include therapists and wellbeing practitioners.
The successful applicant will provide the link for a small patch of schools across the borough, enabling a broad variety of work, using psychology creatively and ensuring children’s outcomes are always the central focus. There will also be opportunities for co-working with the Wellbeing team and other Early Help teams, to develop approaches that build resilience and improve the emotional wellbeing of our children/young people and their families.
The Educational Psychology Service has a highly successful track record of year-on-year demand for a range of services, from both schools and other agencies. By joining us you have the opportunity to be a part of developing creative solutions, training and interventions. We have direct links and partnerships with a number of universities and are keen to promote innovative projects, including research developments, placement supervision of trainees and to follow up specialist interests.
For an informal discussion please contact Frances Lee, Principal Educational Psychologist on 07783 656931, or Jane McFadyen, Senior Educational Psychologist, on 07768 237227, or email: edpsych@achievingforchildren.org.uk
