Achieving for Children (RBWM)

Vacancy Description

Achieving for Children is an award-winning social enterprise created by Kingston and Richmond Councils in 2014, expanding into the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in 2017. We are responsible for delivering the entirety of children’s services in all three local authorities.

Achieving for Children has been up and running for four years, and in that time, we have established a reputation as one of the leading children’s services providers in the country. We are one of the Department for Education’s eight ‘Partners in Practice’, tasked with leading improvement across the sector.

We are now looking for an experienced Supervisor Assessor to support our Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme for our newly qualified social workers (NQSW) and social work students. The candidate will bring with them knowledge and experience in theoretical and practical approaches to developing and supervising staff to support them to learn and reflect on their experience.

The successful candidate will work alongside team managers, social workers, Principal Social Worker, and other professionals supporting the NQSW’s and students through providing regular supervision, undertaking observations and offering verbal and written feedback for critical reflection and learning.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Principal Social Worker, ASYE coordinator and Lead Social Work Practice Consultant to bring ideas and innovative solutions to develop the role and look at ways to improve the practice assessor contribution across the ASYE and Student programmes.

Start dates:

Achieving for Children have Fixed Start Dates, candidates are advised to prepare for this should a job offer be accepted to ensure eligible continuous service is not affected.
