Achieving for Children (RBWM)

Vacancy Description

Achieving for Children is an award-winning social enterprise created by Kingston and Richmond Councils in 2014, expanding into the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in 2017. We are responsible for delivering the entirety of children’s services in all three local authorities.

Achieving for Children has been up and running for three years, and in that time we have established a reputation as one of the leading children’s services providers in the country. We are one of the Department for Education’s eight ‘Partners in Practice’, tasked with leading improvement across the sector.

We are seeking an enthusiastic finance professional to join the Achieving for Children Finance Team in the role of Financial Control Assistant.

The role of the Financial Control Assistant is to process transactions relating to Achieving for Children and the maintained schools of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Providing support to the wider Finance Team there will be a number of essential routine tasks that will be required to be performed to a high standard with limited supervision.

The successful candidate needs to have high standards of accuracy, with attention to detail and good organisational skills.

If you have any queries about the role please email Corinne Try at Corinne.try@achievingforchildren.org.uk

Achieving for Children is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check.

Closing date: 18 August 2019

Interviews: w/c 26 August 2019
