Vacancy Description

Achieving for Children is a not-for-profit social enterprise created by Kingston and Richmond Councils in 2014, expanding into the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in 2017. We are responsible for delivering the entirety of children’s services in all three local authorities.

We are looking for four full-time community staff nurses to join our health visiting team, which serves the residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. This is an exciting development for our service with the potential for successful applicants to develop and eventually become a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) in the future.

You will assist the health visiting team to provide a professional public health nursing service to our clients. Our service is evidence-based and tailored to the needs of individuals, families, groups and communities; enhancing health and reducing health inequalities through a proactive, universal service for all children 0-5 years and for vulnerable populations, who are targeted according to need. You will support the health visiting team in order to reach out to individuals and vulnerable groups, taking into account their varying and individual needs, thereby attempting to reduce inequalities in health. Pre-school children and their families are the key focus of our work.

We are looking for people that are:

  • A Registered Nurse.
  • Hold an active Nursing and Midwifery Council registration and PIN Number.
  • Have strong clinical experience working in a community setting.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver presentations to groups and various audiences.
