Vacancy Description

Opened in 2014, Holyport College is a Co-Educational state funded day/boarding school that has quickly established itself as an ambitious and dynamic place to work. Popular with parents, we are one of the most over-subscribed schools in our area.

Inspected in May 2017, this is what Ofsted had to say about our ‘outstanding’ school:

“The school is a harmonious community where all groups coexist and cooperate together particularly well”

“Pupils are thoughtful, respectful and friendly”

“Behaviour is impeccable”

Holyport College seeks to appoint two exceptional and ambitious graduate teachers to their PE department from September 2021. Those who would be Newly Qualified Teachers in September 2021 are welcome to apply. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a thriving, forward thinking department of highly experienced and supportive staff at one of the country’s first state day and boarding free schools. Applicants will teach all aspects of PE and Games across the school, ideally with a specialism in one of our major sports. The major sports for our boys are Rugby, Football and Cricket, and for the girls, Hockey, Netball and Cricket. Fixtures and training take place both during the week after school and on Saturdays during term time. Applicants will ideally have recent experience of teaching both A Level (OCR) and GCSE (Edexcel) Physical Education. This post can provide unparalleled professional development opportunities for an experienced teacher with the capacity to develop leadership skills in the future.
