The team is vibrant, committed and works towards a common goal of promoting the independence of residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. The service assists to facilitate earlier discharge from hospital, prevent hospital admission. The team comprises of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants working in the community to support residents to achieve or regain independence. The service works closely with health partners to ensure the best outcomes for the service user.
As the Duty Officer, you will be the first point of contact for staff, professionals and customers, managing the requests for services, changes to support requirements and dealing with on occasion distressed customers. You will manage a dispersed workforce, allocate and co-ordinate the work of Rehabilitation Care Assistants.
In order to succeed you will be highly organised, with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to use your initiative. Experience in the Health or Social Care environment, particularly in care at home services is highly desirable, along with a full driving licence and daily use of a car.
