WM0481-2104

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead

Vacancy Description

It is an extremely exciting time to join the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead with our service going through many changes and enhancements including joining environmental health and protection under one service manager.

As the team leader for environmental protection, you will lead on all noise, nuisance and contaminated land enquiries, permit and licence applications and provide expert technical advice across the council.

You will lead the environmental protection team to ensure that it delivers a high quality, innovative, people-focused and value for money service, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, your fellow team leaders and managers and staff. So, if you are enthusiastic and self-motivated and are looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to talk to you.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council is geographically set in a major tourism area with tourist attractions including Windsor Castle, Legoland and Ascot Racecourse. As a Royal Borough with the Royal Family on the doorstep, it is a desirable place to live and work. There are excellent transport connections to London (30 minutes by train) from Maidenhead with the Town Hall being a ten-minute walk from the train station. Due to this being a front-line statutory team, there is still an expectation to work form the offices a couple of times a week during Covid 19.
