Healthwatch is the local independent champion for health and care services. From improving services today to helping shape better ones for tomorrow, we listen to the views and experiences of local people and use these to influence decision-making.

We are looking for a two Healthwatch Officers to help us deliver a new Healthwatch service that will cover the whole of East Berkshire (Slough Borough Council, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Bracknell Forest Council areas). We are looking for people who would like to cover the localities of RBWM or BF as well as lead on our work supporting and working with volunteers or delivering engagement and insight projects across the whole of East Berkshire. Both roles will include working with diverse communities and organisations, setting up and running engagement events and managing projects. Applicants will need experience in networking and partnership building, supporting volunteers and community groups, have the knowledge and practical experience of community involvement methods as well as proven experience of leading and developing projects.

This is an exciting and wide-ranging role for someone with a passion to improve health and social care services through patient engagement and participation.

The ability to travel across East Berkshire is required for this role and occasional travel to different locations of the business for which expenses will be paid.

An enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) police record check in relation to vulnerable adults and children (previously known as CRB check) is required for this role.
