Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead

Vacancy Description

It is a very exciting time to join the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead with our service going through many changes and enhancements including being awarded 490k from MHCLG to deliver a comprehensive Rough Sleeper Pathway. We have a major regeneration programme progressing in Maidenhead with approximately 4,000 new homes (at least 30% affordable) being developed on our own land through our joint venture partnerships.

We are focused on continuing to improve our housing services, including implementing an on-line customer focused housing register and developing a private rented sector offer. So if you are enthusiastic and self-motivated and are looking to take the next step in your career we would love to talk to you.

You will lead the Housing Options Service to ensure that it delivers a high quality, innovative, people-focused and value for money service, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

You will also deputise for the Head of Housing in the leadership of the Housing Service as required.

If you wish to discuss this position informally please contact Tracy Hendren, Head of Housing & Environmental Health on 07920 070755.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council is geographically set in a major tourism area with tourist attractions including Windsor Castle, Legoland and Ascot Racecourse.

As a Royal Borough with the Royal Family on the doorstep, it is a desirable place to live and work. There are excellent transport connections to London (30 minutes by train) from Maidenhead with the Town Hall being a ten minute walk from the train station.

Closing date: 5 April 2020

Please note that this closing date has been extended, with interviews to be confirmed.
